Strengthening Medicare

Labor created Medicare and we will always fight for it.

We're delivering the largest investment in Medicare ever- with $8.5 billion to deliver 18 million additional bulk billed GP visits per year.

This record investment builds on our record of:

  • Delivering 87 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics, with more to come.
  • Making it easier for women to access quality care, with more choice and lower costs.

Homes for Australia

All Australians deserve a home. Labor is delivering support for renters and first home buyers by:

  • Building 1.2 million new homes in the next 5 years
  • Delivering more tradies and creating new incentives to build more homes faster.
  • Investing in more social homes to tackle homelessness
  • Standing up for renters with a 45% increase in rent assistance and new legal protections for renters
  • Helping first home buyers own their first home with as little as a 2% deposit.
